I’ve noticed that more people in my network are becoming “psychologically minded”. From book recommendations, to uplifting quotes or mantras, to positive ways of being.
I’m well aware from both my own personal experience, and from coaching others that developing greater awareness and control of our thoughts is often an important first step in making progress.
But that’s all it is – an important first step.
I once heard coaching described as “a conversation with a purpose”. The purpose is very often action.
The real magic of coaching is action, movement, change.
How often have you heard someone say: “I know what I need to do, but…”, or perhaps even yourself?
So why do we often struggle to make the necessary change, take the steps needed to achieve our goals?
I guess it can be a number of reasons such as fear of the unknown, not knowing where to start, it might feel easier to stay where we are etc.
It can also be because there are other mental blocks in the way, still to be surfaced, and addressed.
A coach can help identify and remove these obstacles and act as a valuable accountability partner to ensure you keep on track.
If this sounds like you, drop me a message – happy to talk.
